The staff are exceptional at this hotel especially JOHN and TonI. Everyone is so friendly and sweet from the doorman to the service staff to the maid who clean and change the room daily. A truly fabulous and wonderful experience and I especially loved the books in the library. The doorman we’re always putting logs on the fire in the evening and there was always a wonderful real fire burning beside two fabulous leather chairs . Fabulous Food, Amazing scones. Beautiful newly refurbished room and shining marble with a rainforest showerhead and handheld wand. They even had Netflix on the TV which surprised me. I was surprised by the local entertainment in Cork as well I actually got tickets to see a concert by Van Morrison and within the week Elton John was actually playing there as well. They have an airport for those that want to fly in from other parts of Europe. The Staircase in the hotel is absolutely spectacular. The whole place is a rare treasure.

The entire property is just lovely! From the lobby to the courtyard to our rooms, we enjoyed every aspect. The lobby is full of comfortable couches, has a fire burning, and a pianist in the evenings. Delightful! Our room was very comfortable and spacious, and the bed was perfect as far as comfort and quality of linens. Everything was very clean. Turn-down service was a nice touch, as were the snacks provided in our room at arrival. The bathroom was also very spacious and had fabulous water pressure. Parking was very easy and the concierge was very helpful with recommendations as well. It was so nice to have a comfortable spot to rest after a busy day sightseeing and my family enjoyed both the pool and jacuzzi in the evenings.

property location is great. lots of stuff is within walking distance. facilities are very good and hotel was immaculate and good controls for covid. rooms were good size and bed was comfortable. Ate in Perrotts in the hotel. food and service was excellent. went to the spa for message. again excellent service and experience. best thing about the hotel was the staff. really top class bunch at front desk and in the bar and restaurant.

Dinner in the normal dining room was lovely and staff are efficient although there are a couple of wait staff who don't know the full menu or speak good English. The room was very expensive for what we got as the 3 previous 5 star hotels in the same price bracket got us a much bigger suite and very well furnished. I guess the price is due to it's location to Cork.

Classic retreat hotel - warm welcome on arrival, attentive staff, great dining options. It is like staying a country manor house but being able to walk into town. Definitely try the formal dining option - the menu was well put together and with a good wine list. The rooms are comfortable with a nice aspect over the gardens and views out to the town.
